BankNewport Names Vice President

NEWPORT, R.I. (December 1, 2009) - BankNewport President and CEO, Thomas W. Kelly, recently announced the appointment of Julie A. Mott to vice president, deposit servicing manager. Mott began her career at BankNewport in 2005 and has held various positions, most recently serving as assistant vice president, deposit servicing manager. She is responsible for directing and coordinating the Bank’s deposit servicing activities, including account and product maintenance, branch image capture, corresponding bank relationship manager, IRA management, IRS deposit reporting and Automated Clearing House (ACH) services. She also serves as the Bank’s Keeper of Records. Mott earned a bachelor of science in financial services from Roger Williams University in Bristol. She holds a Certificate in Business Leadership from the Bryant University Executive Development Center and is an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP). Mott is a member of the Newport County Chamber of Commerce, the New England ACH task force and the Rhode Island Bankers Association, where she currently serves on the operations committee. Julie and her husband, Kevin, have two daughters and reside in Middletown, Rhode Island.
